One of the first in the queue to get the iPhone X was former Big Brother contestant Marco Pierre White Jr.

Pierre White, 22, the son of celebrity chef Marco Pierre White, apparently joined the queue outside Apple’s Regent Street store on Wednesday in a bid to get the iPhone X for his girlfriend.

However he wasn’t the first to get the sought-after iPhone with Adam Rabhi making sure he was at the front of the crowd.

The student had been camping outside of the store since Tuesday.

“I had my coat, sleeping bag, yoga mat my mum gave me, and my tent so it was okay, I just tried not to eat and drink much so I didn’t have to leave.” Said Mr Rabhi.

“It’s all been worth it to be the first person to get the phone though and I can’t wait to use the face identification and wireless charging features.”

The iPhone X launch comes as Apple announced financial results for its fiscal 2017 fourth quarter ended September 30, 2017.

The Company posted quarterly revenue of $52.6 billion, an increase of 12 percent from the year-ago quarter with international sales accounting for 62 percent of the quarter’s revenue.

“We’re happy to report a very strong finish to a great fiscal 2017, with record fourth quarter revenue, year-over-year growth for all our product categories, and our best quarter ever for Services,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.

“With fantastic new products including iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, Apple Watch Series 3, and Apple TV 4K joining our product lineup, we’re looking forward to a great holiday season, and with the launch of iPhone X getting underway right now, we couldn’t be more excited as we begin to deliver our vision for the future with this stunning device.”

The iPhone X looks stunning, is incredibly powerful and the edge-to-edge display now means you get a bigger screen in a device that’s physically smaller in your hand.

Of course, the bigger screen means no more fingerprint scanner but, so far, we haven’t noticed any issues with using the new Face ID security.

It’s early days for our time with the iPhone X but so far so good for this smartphone.

Apple appears to have created an iPhone that’s worthy of it’s 10th anniversary and it could have a very big hit on its hands.
