Heroes of the Storm Hanzo LEAK: Blizzcon 2017 to announce new Overwatch update

That’s according to a new pictures that has arrived on the web, hours before the Blizzcon 2017 Opening Ceremony.

It appears that both Overwatch’s Hanzo and World of Warcraft’s Alexstrasza will be made part of the Nexus next.

Overwatch characters have made up a big part of the new roster arriving as part of the game’s 2.0 update.

Genji was one of the first major crossovers for the two games, followed by others.

Blizzcon 2017 is likely to include a lot of new announcements for both Heroes of the Storm and Overwatch.

New will be first revealed during the Blizzcon 2017 Opening Ceremony, which kicks off around 6pm, GMT.

This will be followed by dedicated panels for each game, meaning more information being released during Blizzcon.

A special online pre-show starts at 5:30pm and both will be streamed live free at www.blizzcon.com/watch and through the BlizzCon Mobile app.

The official Blizzard Twitch Channel will also likely host the Opening Ceremony, although a Virtual Ticket will be needed to watch any of the panels.

The leak itself apparently comes from the Chinese HOTS website, with the images showing both characters looking part of official-looking artwork.

Overwatch is also expected to make up a big part of the Opening Ceremony, with new maps and a new character expected to be revealed.

Game director Jeff Kaplan recently teased that the Blizz team had some good stuff saved for the Anaheim event.

Here’s more on the specific Overwatch panel – via Kaplan – coming to Blizzcon.

Mythic Stage – Friday 9:45 PM GMT:

“This panel is going to be awesome. This is where the team will go into more detail about new stuff. There might even be some news here that doesn’t happen during Opening Ceremonies. I feel like this panel is a “must watch” if you’re an Overwatch fan.

“If you happen to be going to BlizzCon, this one will be on the Mythic Stage, which is on the far end of the convention center—opposite end from the Overwatch Arena.

“I know the team would love seeing you at the panel and really enjoy your support.”
