BREAKING: Police officers stabbed near parliament building – two injured in terror attack

A knifeman stabbed two police officers outside the parliament building in the city of Tunis in Tunisia. 

One of the officers was stabbed in the neck while the other suffered only light injuries. 

Tunisia’s interior ministry said a “suspected Islamist militant” had been arrested following the attack. 

The assailant was known to authorities for radical Islamist views.

The attack took place in Tunis, the capital and largest city in the country. 

It is a holiday hotspot popular with British tourists due to its ancient ruins, bustling markets and colonial architecture.
