OnePlus 5T release date LEAKS online – days after price, specs and design are unmasked

OnePlus 5T will be unveiled on November 16th, according to a leaked presentation slide.

The internal presentation claims the feverishly anticipated smartphone will be announced by OnePlus in mid-November. It also claims the handset will be exclusive to Amazon.

OnePlus looks set to follow the schedule it established last year and introduce an iterative update to its flagship smartphone six months after launch.

Last year, , which sported a faster chipset, new aluminium finish, and a more robust camera housing.

The standout feature of the OnePlus 5T is widely-tipped to be an all-new edge-to-edge display.

According to the latest leaks, OnePlus will shave the bezels around the display to compete with the likes of the LG V30, Galaxy S8, Pixel 2 XL and iPhone X.

OnePlus looks set to use a six-inch display with a 2,160 x 1,080 resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. That’s a pretty significant upgrade from the OnePlus 5’s 5.5-inch 1080p display.

According to the leaked presentation slides, OnePlus will highlight this new design with the tagline “Larger Display. Same Footprint.”

This tagline has also appeared in a blurry image that purports to show the landing page for the OnePls 5T on the firm’s website.

Unfortunately, the OnePlus 5T launch day (when you’ll be able to pick-up the new phone in brick-and-mortar stores) has been erased from the photo.

OnePlus 5 was announced on June 8th, and was available to buy at a number of pop-up events across the globe from June 20th 2017.

If the leaked information is accurate, it’s possible the OnePlus 5T will be available to buy at end of November or early December.

The news comes as renown tipster Evan Blass shared a new high-resolution image of the OnePlus 5T, revealing the long-rumoured edge-to-edge screen.

Blass, who has an unrivalled track record when it comes to unannounced smartphones, shared the image on Twitter, which shows the top half of the handset.

Unfortunately, the leaked image does not reveal whether the fingerprint scanner has been relocated from the front of the phone to make way for the new display.

Previous rumours claim OnePlus will include a rear-mounted sensor above the company logo on the OnePlus 5T.

Previous leaks from benchmarking tool AnTuTu show the OnePlus 5T will boast a dual rear cameras with two 20-megapixel sensors.

OnePlus 5 currently has a 16MP wide-angle lens coupled with a 20MP telephoto lens.

, the OnePlus 5T will ship with Android 8.0 Oreo.

The news comes as online retailer Oppomart last week listed a pre-order page for the OnePlus 5T – which seems a little premature given that OnePlus has yet to confirm the existence of the upgraded handset.

The retail site lists both a 64GB and 128GB model of the OnePlus 5T, with delivery of the new flagship smartphone expected in late November.

The 64GB model is listed as $549, roughly £418 converted, while the 128GB variant will set you back an extra $100, around £495.

Both phones will purportedly include 6GB of RAM, which is less than the 8GB listed in the AnTuTu benchmark test.

Like all rumours, it’s worth taking these leaks with a healthy pinch of salt.

However, it is looking increasingly likely OnePlus plans to make an announcement ahead of the holidays.
