Call of Duty WW2 release date update: Fans disappointed with new discovery

Call of Duty WW2 multiplayer details have leaked ahead of release date.

Some fans on Reddit have expressed disappointment that Call of Duty WW2 only has ten regular maps and three War Mode Operations.

This includes Aachen, Ardennes Forest, Flak Tower, Gibraltar, Gustav Cannon, London Docks, Pointe Du Hoc, Sainte-Marie-du-Mont and USS Texas.

Season pass holders, meanwhile, will be able to access the Carentan map in multiplayer.

Perhaps more disappointing is that War Mode only has three modes, including Operation Breakout, Operation Griffin and Operation Neptune.

Speaking about the lack of War Mode maps, one fan said: “I don’t think anyone was expecting a crazy amount but three maps is a ridiculously small amount.”

Another said: “I assume we will get more with DLC, but I expected more than 3.”

But it’s not all bad news, because Activision will release additional War Mode maps as DLC.

The first DLC pack was announced during PlayStation’s Paris Games Week conference.

The Resistance will be available on PS4 from January 30. It hits Xbox One and PC a month later.

It’s unclear what else will be included in the map pack, and whether it will also contain a new War Mode map.

Sledgehammer will follow this up with three additional DLC packs later in 2018.

Call of Duty WW2 has a November 3 release date on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Pre-order fans can already pre-load the game to ensure it’s ready for launch.

There will also be a 9GB day-one patch.
