PlayStation Paris Games Week wishlist: Bloodborne 2, Last of Us 2, Final Fantasy 7

Paris Games Week is about to kick off with the PlayStation Media Showcase at 4pm UK time.

Sony has already announced plans to reveal seven new titles for PlayStation VR and PS4, and fans can also expect a host of blockbuster trailers, release date news and DLC updates for existing titles.

With the excitement building and the rumour mill going into overdrive, here’s what we want to see at the Sony PlayStation Paris Games Week Media Showcase.

Bloodborne developer From Software previously said that it had , but fans have heard very little from the developer since.

Hopefully this means that Bloodborne 2 will be announced during Paris Games Week, or perhaps even Demon’s Souls 2.

Interestingly, Bloodborne producers Teruyuki Toriyama and Masaaki Yamagiwa said that one of the studio’s new games would likely launch in 2017, although this now seems unlikely.

The developer is also working on new game ideas, which could mean that its planning to expand its current list of IPs with an all-new game.

After skipping E3 2017 completely, fans are eager to find out more about blockbuster PS4 exclusive The Last of Us 2.

Naughty Dog revealed during E3 that only a small team were working on The Last of Us 2 during the development of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.

But with Uncharted: The Lost Legacy all wrapped up and released, it’s surely time for Sony and Naughty Dog to give fans a taste of what’s to come from Joel and Ellie.

Paris Games Week could also be when we discover the Final Fantasy 7 Remake release date.

Tetsuya Nomura, the director of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, recently spoke about the upcoming PS4 title in an interview with Famitsu.

He told the Japanese gaming magazine that “important details” on the FF7 Remake would be announced soon.

Fingers crossed we find out more during Paris Games Week.

One game almost certain to appear at Paris Games Week is Detroit: Become Human.

Detroit was first announced during Paris Games Week in 2015, although very little gameplay has been shown since then.

The PlayStation Media Showcase is almost certain to contain some new gameplay footage, and perhaps Sony and Quantic Dream will narrow down a release date.

And speaking of gameplay, how good would it be if Paris Games Week hosted the first footage from the Resident Evil 2 Remake.

The original celebrates its 20th anniversary next year, so now would be a good time to show the first gameplay and maybe surprise us with a release date.

And while we’re at it, how about a release date for Shenmue 3?
