The 49-year-old star may have one more movie to go as James Bond 007, so another actor will have to replace him after its 2019 release.
While the likes of Tom Hardy, Michael Fassbender and Idris Elba are firm favourites with the bookies, now an Avengers Infinity War star has revealed his desire.
Falcon actor Mackie appeared on a panel at MCM Comic Con in London last Saturday, where a fan asked him if he’d like to take up the License to Kill.
The 39-year-old American said: “I’ve thought about this a lot.”
Mackie continued: “My Bond would be cool, I mean smooth, milky smooth. No nonsense, no pretence.

“My James Bond would be a very, very mellow man with the ladies. He would be very aggressive in his fighting style.
“And his Aston Martin would be a convertible with 20 inch rims and an 808 sound system in the trunk so you can hear him coming. That’s my Bond.”
Mackie first starred as Falcon in Captain America: The Winter Solider, opposite Chris Evans and has since appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man and Captain America: Civil War.

The actor will next appear in Avengers Infinity War, however he’s not yet confirmed for Avengers 4 – so perhaps he’ll be killed off?
James Bond 25 will be released in UK cinemas in November 2019.
