Xbox One X release news, LA Noire 4K reveal and PS4 Pro games boost

It’s not long before the Xbox One X release day, which will see the first waves of consoles launched.

The upgraded Microsoft gaming machine appears to have been received well among gamers, with pre orders looking healthy so far.

The Xbox One X games list will not include any exclusive, however, it will offer enhanced versions of existing titles.

This recently got a boost with the announcement that some developers won’t be looking for parity between the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro.

King Art Games’ Iron Harvest is one of those developers, who have confirmed that whichever console has the best hardware, will get the best performance.

Speaking about their approach to the different platforms, King Arts’ Julian Strzoda revealed that they wouldn’t be creating special version of their upcoming RTS for the Xbox One X or PS4 Pro.

“As a small developer we don’t have dedicated developers working on Xbox One X or PlayStation 4 Pro. We’re going to have seven different quality settings,” he told Gamingbolt.

“Three for PCs (high, medium, low + custom) and one for each console. For each setting we’ll try to figure out the best compromise between visuals and performance.

“So, yes, if a system is more powerful it’ll get the better version of the game, but we’re probably not going to write specific code for any of the platforms.”

It should be noted that Iron Harvest is yet to be given a release date.

New LA Noire 4K footage has been released this week, ahead of the game’s launch on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

As you might already know, there will be four new editions launched of the game this year, including for current consoles, as well as a new VR experience for HTC Vive.

LA Noire is scheduled to release on November 14, 2017 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, which will also include 4K support.

While the VR version won’t include the full game; L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files for HTC Vive, will instead feature seven select cases rebuilt for VR.

The new LA Noire 4K trailer was released today, with the official Xbox account confirming that the footage had been recorded on an Xbox One X.

A nice boost before its release next month.

Microsoft has just given fans another reason to invest in a brand new Xbox One X.

With the Xbox One X release just round the corner, Microsoft has unveiled a new range of Xbox Design Lab custom controllers.

The new designs have been created by YouTubers and Twitch streamers such as SeaPeeKay, MissEllaCronin, George Benson, Arekkz and the Xbox On team.

The attractive Xbox One controllers can be purchased from the Microsoft website, where they are available from £69.99.

They feature custom bumper buttons, d-pads, thumbsticks, backs and bodies, although fans can tweak colour schemes if they want to alter a design.

Microsoft has also increased the number of Xbox One X enhanced games.

The Xbox One X now boasts over 150 enhanced games, although not all improvements will be available at launch.

“The Xbox One X Enhanced logo means the developer has done extra work to optimise for Xbox One X,” reads a Microsoft blog post. “This may include higher resolutions, faster framerates and/or improved textures.”
