Call of Duty WW2 PS4 release date update as shock news is revealed

It has been confirmed that Call of Duty WW2 PS4 pre order owners can now pre-load their game.

The option has been available on Xbox One for sometime and has only now just reached Sony’s console.

It has also been revealed that PC players can also update their systems with Call of Duty WW2, however, new limitations have apparently been put in place.

Developers Sledgehammer Games have reportedly found a way to help avoid early COD leaks this year.

Both Infinite Warfare and Black Ops 3 saw early footage leaked before the official release date, a massive headache for Activision.

But it appears steps have been taken to avoid the same thing happening to Call of Duty WW2.

While players are now able to pre-load the game, they cannot get it to work.

Attempts have been made but so far no success has been found.

This is likely due to Sledgehammer putting in place a requirement of a special patch before the game can be made to work.

It seems like a good idea for Activision to put this in place for 2017, as there have already been several streams looking to try and show-off the game at this early stage.

One fan wrote on the subject: “You don’t necessarily pay more. they’re a lot of underground game stores that’ll sell you a copy if you ask if they have any copies already.

“Some underground game stores normally get the shipment the day before release. It’s common in urban areas. I normally get my copy 4 days early from my spot in Midtown Manhattan.”

The game will likely need an update to get it working properly, which will probably arrive on launch day.

Call of Duty WW2 is set to release on all platforms on November 3rd.

A recent online retail leak suggested that the game would need as much as 80GB of hard drive space when it does land.

While other titles in the series have been hefty when it comes to the digital version, that’s a lot when you consider that DLC will be launched later this year too.

There’s the real chance that this latest reveal is just a warning and is actually more connected to the PS4 Pro version of the game.

As Call of Duty WW2 is launching with a Pro patch, it would make sense that they would warn everyone of the extra space needed.

It should also be noted that the official Xbox website confirms the size of the game as being much smaller at 45GB, with no recommendation yet for the Xbox One X version.
