Prince Harry had fling with THIS girl before finally dating longtime ‘crush’ Meghan Markle

Prince Harry, 33, and Meghan Markle, 36, recently celebrated their one year anniversary.

But now a Royal expert has revealed the Prince had his eye on Meghan for years before he finally got to meet her.

In a documentary set to air tomorrow, royal expert Katie Nicholl reveals Harry described Meghan as his “ideal woman two years before they met.

She said: “He had a crush on Rachel Zane two years before he met Meghan and the reason I know is because I was having drinks with one of his friends.

“She told me she’d been on a night out with Prince Harry. He was single at the time, so she said, ‘Harry, who’s your ideal girl?’ And he said ‘Meghan Markle from Suits.’”

Harry was recently single when the comments were made, having split from English rose Cressida Bonas in 2014.

But Harry did not spend the time between Cressida and Meghan alone – as he was linked to another A List star between his two relationships.

The royal was linked to British singer Ellie Goulding in the summer of 2016, with the pair spotted together at the Audi Polo.

The pair were seen spending time together with onlookers claiming they were “all over each other”.

One even alleged that they shared a kiss under a blanket.

An unnamed insider revealed: “Harry was really going for it after the polo – he was drinking and dancing.

“They were part of a wider group including Tom Hardy but Harry and Ellie only had eyes for each other all night – they spent a lot of time sitting together under blankets.”

But it seems as soon as Harry met Meghan, he only had eyes for her, and romance soon blossomed.

The pair reportedly met while Meghan was in London to watch her pal Serena Williams play tennis at Wimbledon last July.

According to The Sun, Ms Nicholl’s added: “He asked Markus if he could set up, not a date, but an opportunity for them to meet and that happened in one of the private rooms of Soho House.

“There were about seven or eight of them altogether and it was a perfect opportunity for Harry and Meghan to come together in a really informal environment and actually talk. She was funny, feisty, confident and she wasn’t swayed or knocked by the fact that he was Prince Harry. She thought he was terribly cute.”
