Pokemon Go news: New event to follow Niantic Gen 3 Shiny launch

The latest Pokemon Go event news has included a few surprises that Trainers didn’t know about at the start,

While it had been confirmed that various Gen 3 Pokemon were being launched, it wasn’t revealed that a Shiny was going to be thrown in too

This has now been confirmed by Trainers, who have found out that Sableye – one of the new Gen 3 Pokemon launched for Halloween –  also has a Shiny variant included.

Online reports indicate that Shiny Sableyes can be hatched from 10 km eggs.

There’s been no official confirmation of this from Niantic, which means other variants may also be available to hatch from eggs.

The Halloween celebration runs until November 2 at 9pm BST, giving Trainers plenty of time trying to hatch and catch as many top Pocket Monster as possible.

The chance of either hatching or catching a Shiny Sableye is quite slim, however, that doesn’t mean that with a bit of luck you’ll manage to run into one.

It follows news that Niantic are planning a new Pokemon Go event to follow Halloween 2017.

The studio have announced that they will holding Pokemon Go Week from November 4 to November 12.

This new event follows on from Halloween 2017 and is the first official Korean Pokemon Go event ever held.

The new Pokemon Go launch will be nationwide, although the big events will be held only in Seoul, and will include a series of legendary bird encounters.

The official Pokemon Go Korean site confirms that all spawns will increase during the week in question, with Mr.Mime and Unown also included.

“There is even more amazing news during the period from November 10 (Fri) to November 12 (Sun). The trainers in Seoul are able to play raider battles with ‘Frezer’, ‘Thunder’, ‘Fire’ and ‘Luigi’ (except for Lotte World Mall). Pokemon ‘Mime Man’ And ‘Anon-nong’.”

While this won’t be open to Trainers in the UK, there’s the big question of whether Niantic will launch something for everyone during this week in November.

It was recently revealed that Niantic are planning to change how EX Raids are launched.

“Trainers, thank you for your feedback on EX Raid Battles,” the official Pokemon Go Twitter account revealed.

“We’re working to improve the invitation system based on what we heard from you.”

Just how this will be done is anyone’s guess but it’s possible that a new beta build could be made ready for wider use by the end of Pokemon Go Week.
