iPhone X pre-order: 3 tips to get an iPhone TOMORROW, despite ‘catastrophically’ low stock

Apple will launch pre-orders for its all-new iPhone tomorrow morning at 8.01am online and on its mobile app.

represents a drastic redesign for the best-selling smartphone.

took the wraps off its new flagship phone during its exclusive media event at the Steve Jobs Theatre in September.

The Cupertino-based company said this new iPhone would “set the path for technology for the next decade”.

“It is the biggest leap forward since the original iPhone,” Apple CEO Tim Cook announced on-stage during the launch event.

The iPhone X includes a new 5.8inch edge-to-edge OLED multi-touch display, water resistant design, and improved dual camera set-up with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) on both lens.

iPhone X’s OLED display also supports 3D Touch – Apple’s pressure-sensitive screen technology – as well as True Tone, which seamlessly adapts the temperature of the display to the ambient light.

Like the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus before it, iPhone X is water and dust resistant, rated IP67.

The new smartphone unlocks and authenticates payments via Face ID – a new depth-sensing face scanning technology.

iPhone X is available in two colours: Space Grey and Silver.

Apple will charge £999 for the entry-level iPhone X model, which ships with 64GB of storage built-in. The top-of-the-line model packs 256GB of storage and costs £1,149.

According to an unnamed source speaking to TechRadar, the iPhone X is tipped to sell-out extremely fast.

The source says the “chronic lack” of iPhone X handsets available worldwide after launch is set to be a “catastrophe”.

“Our advice would be to pre-order as soon as possible if they want the new iPhone,” the source told the hugely-successful technology blog.

“It is highly likely to sell out very quickly and we know that some retailers and networks have only been assigned a tiny number of the handsets. A tiny number.

“And maybe it’ll be into January or February before there is enough stock to go round.”

So, if you want to get your hands on an iPhone X before the holidays – it’s worth getting up early for pre-orders tomorrow.

Express.co.uk has compiled three simple tips to follow to make sure you have the best chance of getting the new handset on launch day, November 3rd.

Tip #1 • Download The Apple Store App

iPhone X is available to pre-order on Apple.com/UK and on the iOS app.

Pre-orders will kickstart at 8:01am, Friday October 27th.

Those abroad should check the Apple Store at 12:01am US Pacific Time, US Central Time 2:01am, Canada (Toronto) 3:01am, Central European Time 9:01am, Australia 3:01pm, and Japan (Tokyo) 4:01pm.

Traditionally, the Apple Store app comes back online ahead of the website – meaning pre-orders are often available ahead of those waiting for the website to refresh.

It’s also worth making sure your details are up-to-date within the Apple Store app. Head to Account > Primary Payment, as well as Account > Primary Shipping to make sure your details are correct.

If you need to update the security code linked to your Credit Card, best to do it now – and not when thousands of people are scrambling to add the same handset model to their basket.

Tip #2 • Use As Many Devices As Possible

Make sure you have the best chance possible by keeping a few other fully-charged Apple devices to hand.

Ideally, make sure you have a computer, tablet and iPhone with either the Apple Store app or Apple website loaded.

This should increase your chances of getting the exclusive all-new iPhone.

Tip #3 • Go To The Store

Apple has confirmed the iPhone X will be available at select brick-and-mortar retail stores for walk-in customers to buy on the gadget’s release date of November 3rd.

Apple did not reveal how many units would be available, but advised people to “arrive early” if they want to pick up an iPhone X.

The Apple Stores will open at 8am local time, so you can expect queues beginning outside branches long before then.

In a statement on the Apple website, the US technology company said: “iPhone X will be available in more than 55 countries and territories, and in Apple Stores beginning Friday, November 3 at 8:00 a.m. local time.

“Stores will have iPhone X available for walk-in customers, who are encouraged to arrive early”

Apple also gave a breakdown of the countries and territories that will have iPhone X stock available in store at launch.

These are as follows –
