Halloween costumes: Is Margot Robbie’s sexy ‘WHORELY’ Harley Quinn too much for Brits?

She’s a psychotic criminal killer who carried a baseball bat.

She was also 2016’s most popular Halloween costume for British women (and probably some adventurous men).

Women have always loved a bad boy, but it seems they also want to dress up as the very baddest of girls.

Margot Robbie stole the show in Suicide Squad and will return in Gotham City Sirens but her look was criticised as being more “whorely” than “Harley.”

Robbie answered the flood of criticism saying: “She’s wearing hot pants because they’re sparkly and fun, not because she wants guys to look at her ass.”

However, the star admitted she will still think twice about wearing the revealing costume in the upcoming spin-off.

She said: “You go do a scene where you’re hosed down and soaking wet in a white T-shirt. It’s so clingy and you’re self-conscious about it.

“I’m not wearing hot pants next time.”

Last year a flood of lookalikes invaded London to promote the film and Harley Quinn was the most searched film character on adult film sites.

Halloween is the night when regular folks are allowed to unleash their wild side, so expect to see a lot of tiny hot pants, bedazzled leather jackets and multicoloured hair this year.

Hopefully, there will be less of the baseball bats and smashed shop windows…
