World War 3: USA has ‘NO COHERENT PLAN’ to deal with North Korea, analyst chillingly warns

John Dunn, a political scientist from King’s College Cambridge, has called out the US for lacking a strategy to deal with the rogue nation as it continues in its quest for nuclear arms.

He said: “It is very bad for any American presidency to have any other country that doesn’t have any other clear and mutual understanding about nuclear weapons to be in a position, in principle to attack the United States.

“The United States has no coherent plan for what to do about North Korea.”

Mr Dunn also told Sputnik: “It is actually difficult to know what to do with rogue nuclear state, which has new other ways to securing continuation of its political safety.”

The political scientist added that Kim Jong-un’s regime may currently have the power to strike Los Angeles with a nuclear strike but the US would “heavily attack North Korea and that will be the end of the regime” as a result.

The comments from the political scientist come after it was revealed yesterday that the US was considering placing their nuclear bombers on 24-hour alert for the first time since the Cold War in response to threats of annihilation from despot leader Kim Jong-un.

US Air Force chief of staff General David Goldfein confirmed the plan amid concern North Korea’s nuclear warpath could ignite World War 3.

It comes after Donald Trump met with his top military chiefs, claiming their talks were “the calm before the storm”.

Speaking with Defense One, General Goldfein said: “This is yet one more step in ensuring that we’re prepared.

“I look at it more as not planning for any specific event, but more for the reality of the global situation we find ourselves in and how we ensure we’re prepared going forward.

“The world is a dangerous place and we’ve got folks that are talking openly about the use of nuclear weapons.

“It’s no longer a bipolar world where it’s just us and the Soviet Union.

“We’ve got other players out there who have nuclear capability.

“It’s never been more important to make sure that we get this mission right.”

The comments from Mr Dunn seem to dispel the notion that the US has any plan in the pipeline and that the plethora of recent threats from Donald Trump lack substance.

As recently as Sunday, Trump stated that the US is “totally prepared” to respond to the threats imposed by the hermit kingdom.

He stated: “We’ll see what happens. We are so prepared, like you wouldn’t believe.”

“You would be shocked to see how totally prepared we are if we need to be.

“Would it be nice not to do that? The answer is yes.

“Will that happen? Who knows, who knows.”
