Fortnite fans will get to take part in the first ever event, a Halloween special called Fortnitemares which is taking place this week.
The upcoming Fortnite event called Fortnitemares will bring with it a brand new zone called Hexsylvania.
It will also bring with it 25 story quests, eight new themed Heroes and some spooky new creatures – the Vampire Taker and Pumpkin Head Husk.
The Fortnite Halloween event will kick in after the Horde Bash mode departs on Thursday October 26.
While the Fortnitemares event that was revealed today is a PVE mode, fans of the free-to-play Battle Royale mode shouldn’t worry about missing out.
Responding to one fan who asked about PVP, the Fortnite Twitter account posted: “You must have had a quite a fright! Have no fear, PVP NEWS INCOMING TOMORROW!”
The Fortnite team had on Monday teased the start of the Halloween event, and also suggested that Battle Royale players would not miss out on the spooky event.
The official Fortnite Twitter account had tweeted: “Something spooky is around the corner…”
Fans were quick to reply asking if the “spooky” surprises would only be for those who have the paid-for version of Fortnite, or also for those who play the free Battle Royale mode.
And the Fortnite Twitter account teased that Battle Royale players will also be able to take part in the upcoming Halloween event.
Responding to one fan, they tweeted: “Let’s just say no one will miss out on tricks or treats this year”.
The Fortnite announcements the past two days have been made around 3pm BST – so we’d expect more info on the Battle Royale Halloween event around then on Wednesday.
The Fortnite Halloween event will kick in after the Horde Bash mode departs on Thursday October 26 at 4am EDT / 9am BST.
The Fortnitemares event will become available to play after Fortnite patch 1.8 is released.
