Xbox Backwards Compatibility news: 13 Original Xbox games join list in biggest update yet

Original Xbox games will be playable on from October 24, as part of the next major Backwards Compatibility update.

, a grand total of 13 original Xbox classics will be made Backwards Compatible from tomorrow.

The first wave of Original Xbox games include Ninja Gaiden Black, Knights of the Old Republic and Prince of Persia Sands of Time.

You can access the games by inserting the original discs and waiting for the titles to install.

Likewise, many of the titles will be available to purchase from the Xbox store, which means you can download them directly to your Xbox One.

The full lineup of original Xbox Backwards Compatibility games:

  • Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
  • Ninja Gaiden Black
  • Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge
  • Fuzion Frenzy
  • Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
  • Psychonauts
  • Dead to Rights
  • Black
  • Grabbed by the Ghoulies
  • Sid Meier’s Pirates!
  • Red Faction II
  • BloodRayne 2
  • The King of Fighters Neowave

All of the original Xbox games have been enhanced to play at a resolution of 1080p.

Fans can also expect smoother frame rates and faster loading times.

The only drawback is that online multiplayer will no longer work, as many of the game servers have been closed down.

On the plus side, system link multiplayer is available across different Xbox systems.
