New Nintendo Switch games exclusive revealed ahead of Super Mario Odyssey release

Right now, Nintendo Switch games fans have their eyes firmly fixed on one upcoming launch.

Super Mario Odyssey will arrive on October 27, having got some high initial reviews.

It will be a busy day for games releases, with both Assassin’s Creed Origins and Wolfenstein: The New Colossus also launching.

But only Super Mario Odyssey will be making it onto the Nintendo Switch in 2017.

In fact, there’s around eight titles releasing this week, with only two coming to the handheld hybrid.

The limited third-party support is slowly being expanded but it makes exclusives quite important to the Switch at this time.

So fans will be glad to hear of another game being announced for the Nintendo Switch this week.

Having been teased earlier this year, Shin Megami Tensei 5 has now been revealed as launching for the Switch.

Developed by Atlus, the new Shin Megami will be skipping the Nintendo 3DS and will likely be bringing its traditional turn-based gameplay to the Switch.

Its predecessor, Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse, was a hit on the 3DS and featured both English voice-overs and English text support.

A new teaser trailer was released today that apparently confirmed the Nintendo Switch games exclusivity, with more expected to be revealed on the project in the coming months.

It should be noted that Shin Megami Tensei 5 has only been announced for Switch at this time but there is the possibility that this could change in the future.

Other big launches this week include Destiny 2 on PC, as well as Road Rage for PC and PS4, Just Dance 2018, Yomawari: Midnight Shadows and Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon.

A new Nintendo Direct has also been announced, however, this one will not be focusing on the Switch.

Instead, the new livestream event will be announcing new Nintendo mobile projects, with an Animal Crossing update a big possibility.
