Star Wars 8 Last Jedi: Snoke ‘REJECTS Kylo Ren’ – for THIS shock reason?

It’s been suggested that the enigmatic antagonist, played by Andy Serkis, will push Ren (Adam Driver) to one side – in favour of Rey.

The character, played by Daisy Ridley, is seen in the latest trailer being tortured by Snoke, and yesterday it was claimed that Taiwanese subtitles indicate he is talking to a female when he speaks of “raw potential”.

Theorist Mike Zeroh speculated that the attention Snoke gives Rey could motivate the shot of Kylo destroying his helmet in an elevator.

He said: “What I believe might happen in the first or second act… Kylo in discussions with Snoke and Snoke then says he’s interested in the girl and ‘you’re to deliver her to me’. Snoke orders him to find Rey on Ahch-To [the planet where she is with Luke Skywalker].

“So he’s going down the elevator on Supreme Leader Snoke’s Supremacy, and as he does, he gets very mad at himself, that Snoke is showing more interest in Rey.”

Mike added: “It would actually be a cool way of storytelling to have what we set up in The Force Awakens – how Kylo Ren is so loyal to the Supreme Leader, he told Han Solo the Supreme Leader is wise.

“He goes through all of his orders one after the other and accepts his training.

“So I think the reason he’s so angry and destroys his helmet could be to do with him realising Snoke is now far more interested in Rey – and Kylo Ren will be put to the wayside.”

Much of the movie’s plot remains shrouded in secrecy and any knowledge is based on unconfirmed leaks or theories – so we have a few weeks to go yet before we get any answers.

But whatever happens, early forecasts point to a huge opening box office haul for the movie.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is out on December 14 in the UK.
