Destiny 2 season 2 release details CONFIRMED and PC players won’t be missing out

The development team have been teasing it for sometime and have now revealed more on their plans for Destiny 2 Seasons.

Having kept it under wraps for a while, Bungie confirmed during Twichcon that they will doing things a lot differently when it comes to post launch content in the sequel.

Destiny 2 is being broken up into four season, each will have its own special events and limited-time run.

It seems likely that the Destiny 2 Season 2 release will not happen until after the PC launch later this month, so there needs to be no worries there for new players.

Season 1 included Faction Rallies and Iron Banner events as their special inclusions, although Bungie have confirmed that Iron Banner will be returning in future Seasons.

Season 2 Iron Banner will see a few tweaks, namely that Guardians will be able to buy gear directly from Lord Saladin.

These new major Destiny 2 updates will have their own themes and will also include special cosmetic items that vanish after it ends.

Each Season will launch with a big game update, with Destiny 2 Season 2 being headlined by the returning Dawning event.

The Destiny 2 Dawning will include an Ice Hockey minigame and weaponised snowballs which can be used to take down enemies.

There will also be a special Dawning armor set to collect but no mention was made on whether Sparrow Racing will be making a return.

There’s the chance that it could, or that Bungie are preparing to move it to another Season in 2018.

It also appears that Bungie want to flesh these new Seasons out further by adding new content along the way.

Destiny 2 Season 2 will include a new competitive multiplayer map, details of which will be announced closer to launch.

Bungie recently confirmed new details on the upcoming Destiny 2 PC release date.

In three days, Destiny 2 will go live on its last planned platform, with every player on the PC able to start their adventure at the same time.

On October 24, Destiny 2 will go live on PC at around 6pm, BST – That will be 10am PST and 13:00 EST in New York.

For those interested, Destiny 2 will be available on Battle.net and will include these spec requirements, which have been updated since the PC beta.
