Pokemon Go Halloween event 2017 release date REVEALED – Here’s when Gen 3 are coming

trainers have had the release date for the Halloween event 2017 on iOS and Android confirmed today by Niantic.

Pokemon Go players will be able to catch Gen 3 creatures in this year’s Halloween event from tomorrow.

Gastly, Drowzee, Cubone are back along with Sableye, Banette, and a few other Ghost-type Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region.

The rest of the Gen 3 Pokemon first seen in the Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire will hit Pokemon Go in December.

The starts tomorrow at 12pm PDT / 6pm BST and runs until November 2.

Last year’s Halloween event was the first ever event held in Pokemon Go.

This year’s event will also see a special Pikachu be released with an all-new Halloween costume.

As previous leaks revealed, Pikachu will be getting an adorable witch’s hat for the spooky event.

Pokemon Go trainers will also be able to put a hat on their own character themed around Gen 7 creature Mimikyu.

The Pokemon Go Halloween event 2017 and Gen 3 release date were revealed today in a post on the Pokemon Go Live website.

The Pokemon Go team also revealed the rewards that trainers who take part in the event will get.

They said: “You’ll also earn extra Candy while you’re out trick-or-treating with your Buddy Pokémon: Candy rewards from catching, hatching, and transferring Pokémon will be doubled, and your buddy will find Candy twice as fast during the Halloween celebration!

“Last but not least, you’ll have the opportunity to stock up for your upcoming adventures with special boxes from the in-game shop, featuring items such as Raid Passes and Super Incubators.”

The official Pokemon Go Twitter account also shared a teaser trailer for the Halloween event 2017.

The trailer promised “more spooky Pokemon” are coming and showed Pikachu sporting the brand new purple witch’s hat.

The teaser trailer showed the Gen 3 creatures that would be making an appearance in the Pokemon Go Halloween event 2017.

Gen 3 Pokemon featured in the trailer include Sableye, Banette, Duskull, Dusclops and Misdreavus.

Alongside the teaser trailer the Pokemom Go team tweeted: “Gastly and Cubone are back again for #PokemonGOHalloween, and this time, they’re bringing a few friends.”

The news comes after Express.co.uk had revealed yesterday that the Pokemon Go Halloween event 2017 release date could be any moment now.

We reported on a new leak that suggested a Pokemon Go Halloween release date and the arrival of Gen 3 creatures was just round the corner.

The Pokemon Go Hub revealed that data miners had discovered new details on the Gen 3 creatures arriving alongside the Halloween event.

They reported that Gen 3 gender ratios, form descriptions and spawn definitions are live in the Pokemon Go Game Master configuration file.

In layman’s terms, this meant that Niantic could activate the Gen 3 creatures on the Pokemon Go servers at any moment.

There were no sign of moves or abilities in the latest Pokemon Go files, but it’s expected to be released soon.

In other news, Express.co.uk recently revealed how  could become even easier thanks to a new Niantic feature.

Niantic CEO John Hanke said the company is working on a new feature that will allow players to communicate with each other in the game.

Not only will make it easier to organise Legendary Raids, it will enable teams to potentially come up with strategies and offer advice.

The Niantic boss said that the new feature would increase social interactions between players and improve co-ordination within communities.

The feature would likely take the place of Facebook groups and other external communication tools.
