Microsoft Surface Book price SLASHED by £250 in UK sale ahead of Black Friday

Surface Book fans can save £250 on the sleek Windows 10 laptop thanks to a great sale Microsoft are holding ahead of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

You can save big on the Surface Book 128GB model with an Intel Core i5 processor from the official Microsoft store.

The sleek device usually costs £1,449 but you can now get it for £1,199 – a huge saving of £250.

The Surface Book comes with a 128GB solid state hard drive, 8GB RAM and the Surface Pen included.

The Surface Book also boasts a 13.5-inch PixelSense Display touchscreen, while the processor is a 6th Gen Intel Core i5.

The Microsoft laptop runs Windows 10 Pro and comes with a free three month trial of Adobe Creative Cloud Photography and 1TB of cloud storage.

The Redmond-based tech giant are also offering a saving of £20 on Office 365 for people who purchase the Surface Book that’s on sale.

It also comes with a one year limited hardware warranty. The Surface Book price cut is a limited time offer while stock lasts.

Microsoft had also slashed the price of the 256GB version of the Surface Book by £400 – but stock has sold out.

In the Express.co.uk , we lauded it as a “brilliant device” and a “phenomenal first laptop from Microsoft”.

We said: “Microsoft tried to create a device without compromises. It almost succeeded.

“Brilliant battery life, Apple-esque build quality and an adaptable operating system means this device is sure to please Windows fans.

“However the steep asking price, balance problem and software teething issues means some would be better waiting for the inevitable next generation of ‘the Ultimate Laptop’.”

The Surface Book price cut comes after Microsoft unveiled their second-generation Surface Book notebook yesterday.

The Surface Book 2 boasts a more powerful processor, an expansive 15-inch display, the latest Intel Core processors and 17 hours of battery life.

Microsoft says its new hardware is powerful enough to “fuel the next wave of computing across mixed reality, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and immersive gaming”.

From the outside, you would be forgiven for thinking not a lot has changed.

Microsoft has kept the same aluminium unibody design and dynamic fulcrum hinge that debuted with the first-generation Surface Book back in 2015.

But under the bonnet, Microsoft has made a number of improvements.

According to the Redmond-based company, Surface Book 2 is five times more powerful than the original and is twice as powerful as the latest MacBook Pro.

Prices for the Surface Book 2 will start from £1,499 in the UK.

Surface Book 2 models will become available to pre-order on November 9, with the first units shipping on November 16.
