Pokemon Go Halloween event 2017 UPDATE – Release date and Gen 3 reveal boost

players gearing up for the Halloween event 2017, which could bring with it Gen 3 Pokemon, have been given a sign the release date could be soon.

Last year’s Pokemon Go Halloween event was the first event the Niantic ever held for the iOS and Android game.

And now a year later there are big plans in place for Pokemon Go trainers for the next Halloween event.

A new leak suggests a Pokemon Go Halloween release date and the arrival of Gen 3 creatures is just round the corner.

The Pokemon Go Hub revealed that data miners have discovered new details on the Gen 3 creatures arriving alongside the Halloween event.

They reported that Gen 3 gender ratios, form descriptions and spawn definitions are live in the Pokemon Go Game Master configuration file.

In layman’s terms, this means that Niantic could activate the Gen 3 creatures on the Pokemon Go servers at any moment.

There are no sign of moves or abilities in the latest Pokemon Go files, but it’s expected to be released soon.

The Pokemon Go hub expects a full Gen 3 release will come in a few weeks time at the earliest judging by past traits.

The news comes after Pokemon Go fans were treated to a few big leaks ahead of the Halloween event 2017 release date.

A leaked App Store image posted online has revealed a new Halloween look for Pikachu.

It shows the iconic Pokemon in an adorable witch’s hat. Players will presumably be able to capture this Pikachu variant for the duration of the Halloween 2017 event.

In the leaked picture, Pikachu is pictured alongside a selection of Gen 1, Gen 2 and Gen 3 Ghost Pokemon, which means the rumours of a Gen 3 launch were true.

The picture includes Duskull and Sableye, but fans can also expect the likes of Shuppet, Banette and Dusclops.

Elsewhere in Pokemon Go, a new wave of EX Raid passes have been sent out across the globe.

The new EX raid is believed to be taking place on October 20 in sponsored and non-sponsored gyms.

The EX Raid will only last for 45 minutes, and will be taking place in the UK, giving trainers a chance to catch legendary Pokemon Mewtwo.
