Destiny 2 nightfall this week has CHANGED: Pyramidion launches with Prestige Raid

The Destiny 2 Weekly Reset recently changed what Nightfall Strike was available to run on PS4 and Xbox One.

Exodus Crash was added with its own challenges and modifiers, even though pre-existing issues were already known to make it difficult to complete.

A big bug when running the Destiny 2 Nightfall Strike on Prestige includes the final area not spawning the blue pulses for players to trigger.

Several players have reported issues with this, while some also claim that killing a Dreg on the left of the final zone helps to activate the pulses.

This has now been noted by Bungie, who have decided to switch the Destiny 2 Nightfall for this week.

β€œTo mitigate issues encountered by players in the Exodus Crash Nightfall strike, this week’s Nightfall has been changed to Pyramidion,” the development team confirm.

Nightfall: The Pyramidion has Guardians seeking vengeance against the Vex Mind that corrupted Asher’s arm.

The new Nightfall also contains new modifiers, including:

  • Timewarp: Zero Hour – no extending the time limit.
  • Torrent – Skill recharge rate increased.

This Destiny Nightfall also has its own challenges, including:

  • Speed Of Dark – Complete the Nightfall with at least 5 minutes remaining.
  • Unbroken – Complete the Nightfall with fewer than 3 deaths.
  • Siege Engine – Do not allow Brakion to remain shielded for more than 40 seconds before defeating it.

The reward available to those who manage to finish it is the Luminous Vanguard Engram.

For those who have just started playing Destiny 2, Nightfall Strikes are end game versions of regular Vanguard Strikes.Β

In a Nightfall Strike, players will have to contend with special modifiers which enhance the difficulty of this Strike activity.

It follows news that the new Destiny 2 Prestige Raid option is now available on PS4 and Xbox One.

After suffering a recent delay, the Destiny 2 Raid was given an October 18 release date and a 6pm UK start time.

The Prestige Raid is essentially a harder version of the Leviathan Raid that was introduced a week after the Destiny 2 launch.

The new twist on the endgame activity will feature new Raid Challenges that have been designed to “make you rethink familiar encounters”.

Nothing has been confirmed, but players can expect stronger enemies, fewer checkpoints and other obstacles.

Successful clans will pick up improved rewards and higher level items, armour and gear.Β

Bungie delayed the start of the Prestige Raid after discovering an exploit of some kind.
