Han Solo is such an iconic character, so it would have been rather unwise to try and come up with a clever alternative title for a movie that is basically all about him.
Replacement director Howard finally made the big reveal today online and was handed a huge sgn by a helpful Wookiee extra in a cute short video.

Howard has made a huge effort to win over sceptical fans with all his social media posts.
After the chaos and controversy of teh original directors leaving the project, there has been concern that the spin-off movie could be in trouble.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were felt to be talking the movie too far outside the well-established franchise comfort zone and Howard is a firm hand.
After all that buld-up, it’s no surprise then that the official movie title is the safe but solid ‘Solo.’
In it’s defence, Solo is short and cuts straight to the point, just like the man himself.
Being the character’s universal name, it also works in every single language.
