Farage blasts Hillary Clinton for blaming election loss on Brexit & says she may run again

The former UKIP leader claimed that Clinton hates Brexit because she sees the European Union as a prototype for a global government.

Mr said: “Hillary sees the European Union as a prototype for a bigger form of global government, so she hates Brexit, she hates me and she thinks I gave Trump the edge.”

The architect’s attack on the failed Democratic candidate comes after she accused him of lying to voters in the Brexit campaign and helping defeat her in the US election.

Speaking on the Andrew Marr Show Mrs Clinton accused the Leave campaign of giving “fabricated, false information” to voters.

Mrs Clinton said: “I am familiar with the what the Leave side said because they transported a lot of that on behalf of Trump. You had Farage campaigning for Trump and the like, you know the big lie is a very potent tool.”

Speaking on Fox News following Clinton’s scathing interview Farage said: “I was only sorry she did not call me deplorable, I would have enjoyed that.”

In a cutting comeback Mr Farage accused Mrs of trying to cash in following her defeat with her new book.

He said: “Isn’t it interesting, she is going around UK selling her book at £20 a copy, clearly the Clintons have not made enough money yet, and it is all about why she lost the election.

“And it would appear that Brexit, the phenomenon of Brexit, which spilled across to the USA is the reason she lost.”

Mrs Clinton has been accused of using her book, What Happened, to blame others for her defeat.

And the the former UKIP leader claimed Mrs Clinton urgency to reverse Brexit and could mean she is planning to run for president again.

He said: “She wants to reverse Brexit, I tell you what she is making a sad, sorry spectacle of herself.”

Her UK book tour may be part of the groundwork for another attempt at securing the White House, Mr Farage suggested.

Mr Farage told Fox News: “I do not think she is hugely relevant unless she is deciding perhaps to have another tilt at the presidency.

“Now she denies that in public, but if she is not doing it why is she going around the world making these big political arguments that she wants everything that happened in 2016 to be reversed.”

The 2016 runner-up was said to be “very apologetic” after missing her slot on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour and This Morning after falling and damaging her leg.

She was able to make her interview on The Graham Norton Show, but was photographed on the set wearing a medical “moon boot”.

She told The Daily Mail: “I was running down the stairs in heels with a cup of coffee in hand, I was talking over my shoulder and my heel caught and I fell backwards.

“I tried to get up and it really hurt. I’ve broken my toe.”
