BREAKING: Iceland Air flight declares emergency – aircraft in ‘rapid descent’ to Glasgow

A flight from the capital of Iceland to Munich has declared an emergency over the UK.

The Boeing aeroplane left Iceland two hours ago and is expected in Munich in another two hours and 30 minutes. 

According to Airlive, the flight called the mid-air emergency over Edinburgh and is set to land at Glasgow Airport. 

According to air tracker site, the flight is descending at a rate of 25000 ft/min. 

 

 

The reason for the flight diversion is not known. 

Iceland Air is the main airline of Iceland and operates services to 39 cities in 16 countries.
