USA ‘will REGRET’ pulling out Iran nuclear deal: Tehran’s terrifying warning to Trump

Iranian parliament speaker Ali Larijani revealed the government in Tehran has a detailed plan of action to put into place in the event the USA backs out of the controversial deal.

Tehran considered a number of different scenarios, he said, but warned whatever steps they take will lead to the US regretting the decision.

He said: “We have a plan… We’ve recently approved in parliament what we should do given the Americans undertake certain steps.

“We will take steps so that the Americans will regret it.”

Larijani made the statement in St Petersburg where he was taking part in a parliamentary forum just days after warned he is likely to terminate the nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

The deal was originally signed by the ‘P5+1’ group of the UN Security Council (China, France, Germany, Russia, the UK, and the US) and the European Union in 2015.

But the US President has threatened to pull out of the deal over a bubbling row with Iran.

He said: “We’ll see what happens over the next short period of time and I can cancel the deal instantaneously.”

Mr Trump had repeatedly criticised the agreement as “the worst deal ever negotiated” and accused Tehran of violating the spirit of it.

However the UN nuclear watchdog claims to have verified Iran’s compliance with the deal and reiterated on Friday that the agreement provides the “world’s most robust nuclear verification regime”.

The watchdog added that the agency “had access to all locations it needed to visit” and did not find any violations.

Tehran’s warning today comes after Express.co.uk revealed last week

Iran’s Nuclear Core, a report published by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and compiled over the years from dissident eyewitnesses and inside sources, claims the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has continued to run Tehran’s military nuclear program in the face of sanctions and global opposition.

The report said: “Tehran has worked systematically on the various stages of enrichment, weaponization, warheads, and delivery systems.

“In other words, Iran has been preparing itself to obtain a nuclear weapon.”

And the document also identified four sites – Pazhouheshkadeh, Nouri Industrial Site, Hafte Tir and Sanjarian – as being involved “in various aspects” of the military nuclear weapons project.

Many, if not all, the sites are equipped with extensive underground tunnels and facilities – and can be moved at short notice should the need arise.

The report said: “This has enabled the regime to shield them from international inspections and move them around when needed.”

Following Mr Trump’s wanting, Britain and France announced they are both firmly committed to the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal and will work to ensure it is enforced,.

British Prime Minister Theresa May and French President Macron discussed the decision to not recertify the deal – adding that France and Britain would work together to “push back on Iran’s destabilising activity in the region”.
