SILVA TRAINING

19:25: Adrien Silva is now training with Leicester while the Premier League club consider going to the Court of Arbitration for Sport over his transfer saga.

The Foxes’ appeal to FIFA to secure the registration of Portuguese midfielder Silva was last week rejected by world football’s governing body.

Leicester and the Football Association had asked FIFA to ratify the transfer after the paperwork for Silva’s £22million deadline day move from Sporting Lisbon was submitted 14 seconds late.

That request was denied and, as things stand, the 28-year-old will now not be registered to play for Craig Shakespeare’s team until January. However, Silva is now being properly integrated into the group.

“I can thankfully report he is training with us,” said Leicester boss Shakespeare.

STAT BUNKER

19:20: In the last 44 meetings between Leicester and West Brom, there have been no goalless draws. 0-0 incoming folks…

TWITTER ROUND-UP

Chris: Absolutely no point putting any of the newer signings in tonight if we’re going to persist the with the same system and tactics #lcfc

Sid: So happy to see Iheanacho start over Okazaki tonight, we need to be creative. WBA have a tough defence.

Matt: Still feel for Steve Clarke. Really liked him as a manager and regardless of Roy’s influence, he still did a mega job at #wba

Still sorry Matt? That was in 2013!

JAMIE VARDY STARTS

Gray, King and Okazaki drop to the bench while Iborra, Iheanacho and Mahrez start.

Jamie Vardy was left out of the England squad due to an ongoing hip problem but the striker has recovered during the international break. He starts.

TEAM NEWS KLAXON

18:55: We’ll have those starting XI’s for you shortly folks. There’s gonna be hell to pay if Marc Albrighton doesn’t start. I need the points! (see 18:30).

WHAT ON EARTH?!

18:50: These Jurgen Klopp Champions League press conferences are getting weirder and weirder.

Before the Spartak Moscow match, he was asked if he was in love with any of his players.

He didn’t take too kindly to the question, but that’s nothing compared to the awkwardness that’s occurred tonight.

Apparently a journalist described him as a top coach who doesn’t win much.

The German tactician responded: “So you are saying I am a charismatic, funny loser?”

NEWCASTLE FOR SALE

18:45: It must be like a birthday, Christmas and bank holiday rolled into one for Newcastle supporters today folks.

It certainly was for Toon legend Alan Shearer, who immediately took to Twitter to show his pleasure.

He wrote: “Just heard…” alongside a GIF of the Seinfeld cast celebrating!

Obviously he’s won the internet today, but even better than that, we know Shearer loves Seinfeld… which is bloody brilliant if you ask me!

TWITTER ROUND-UP

Niall: You can tell that the cabin fever has really set in when you begin counting down the hours until Leicester vs West Brom. #Ophelia

Tom: 10 years of Andy King means he’s going to play doesn’t it… unless Shakey shows a spine and starts Vicente Iborra!

Andy: On TV tonight. Prepare yourself for the usual boring live game comments from those who prefer the over hyped rubbish we saw on Saturday.

I don’t think Andy enjoyed the match at Anfield…

OH NACER, NACER CHADLI

Analysis from our reporter Hector Nunns.

18:35: Nacer Chadli hopes he can inject some World Cup feelgood factor for West Brom at Leicester tonight.

Midfielder Chadli has come back from international duty with Belgium – via a German specialist for an injection in his sore back – brimming with confidence after a record-equalling qualification campaign.

The Belgians scored 43 goals in reaching Russia, and Chadli insists rubbing shoulders with Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne benefits him and his club.

“I am sure that I am learning and improving still, playing and training with some of the Belgium players when I go away,” he said.

“It is always different from what I am doing at West Brom, and that variety makes it enjoyable, and I am sure there are big benefits for me and my club from being involved with a successful international team.”

Anyone else get the sense he’s just bragging?

I HAVE A HORSE IN THE RACE

18:30: I’ll make my confession now folks. I have a vested interest in this match.

Marc Albrighton is in my Fantasy Football team.

Now this normally wouldn’t excite me too much, but I have a real chance of moving into 19th (out of 20) position!

Don’t judge me!

THE FORM – WEST BROM

18:25: Things haven’t exactly been much better for West Brom.

Having won their opening two Premier League games of the season, Tony Pulis’ Baggies haven’t tasted victory in any competition since.

The normally water-tight defense has started leaking with only one clean sheet registered since the August 12.

THE FORM – LEICESTER

18:20: There’s not been too much chat about Leicester’s circumstances, but I think there might be if they lose tonight.

The East Midlands club have not won in the league since a 2-0 victory over Brighton in August, and are languishing in the relegation zone.

GOOD EVENING

18:15: Welcome to our LIVE coverage of Leicester vs West Brom.

We’re at the King Power Stadium tonight for the final fixture of the weekend.

Before we get stuck into the action, does anyone know if Instagram have put a filter on the sun?

It’s either that, or the end of the world.

I’m half expecting four blokes on horses to home galloping out of the sky.

Anyway, we’ve covered the British weather – let’s get back to the football!

LEICESTER TEAM NEWS

Jamie Vardy and Wilfred Ndidi will be fit when Leicester resume their Premier League campaign against West Brom at the King Power Stadium.

Vardy was left out of the England squad due to an ongoing hip problem but the striker has recovered during the international break while a suspected hamstring injury sustained by Ndidi while playing for Nigeria turned out to be just cramp.

Defender Ben Chilwell (knee) was withdrawn from the England Under-21 squad as a precaution but he is also fit. Robert Huth (ankle) and Matty James (Achilles) remain unavailable.

WEST BROM TEAM NEWS

Nacer Chadli, James Morrison and Hal Robson-Kanu are all doubts for West Brom’s trip to Leicester.

Midfielders Chadli and Morrison have back and calf complaints respectively while Robson-Kanu has a strain which could see him miss Monday’s game.

Oliver Burke will be assessed after playing for Scotland Under-21s while Salomon Rondon will return from South America after international duty with Venezuela to link up with the squad on Saturday.
