West Brom News: Tony Pulis calls on football world to end club v country war

Pulis’ West Brom travel to Leicester tomorrow night as the Premier League resumes following the second international break of the season.

And with a third looming early next month, when the play-offs for Russia 2018 take place, Pulis admits the hectic stop-start schedule is a nightmare so early in a campaign.

Calling on both sides of the divide to come together and find a compromise, Pulis said: “I haven’t got the power to change it or make that decision. Do you honestly think that?

“They’re now talking about bringing in this League of Nations – a competitive league of friendly matches. It’s going to get bigger and stronger.

“If you talk to international managers, they will say they want it because they want more games but club managers don’t. I’m being selfish.
