The 49-year-old star is returning for one more movie in 2019, but is James Bond 007 really about to take a rocket into outer space?
It certainly n’t be the first time following Sir Roger Moore’s 1979 Moonraker, a film swiftly put together ahead of For Your Eyes Only after the huge success of Star Wars just two years earlier.
But now Moonraker is considered one of the more outlandish and sillier Bonds – For Your Eyes Only was a much more grounded spy thriller – surely this isn’t a route for Craig’s dark and gritty 007 with emotional depth and character?
According to The Mirror, an insider claims that billionaire tycoon Musk is designing a spacecraft for Bond 25 and Craig is really on board with the idea.
The source said: “Bond needs to keep up with the times and will be looking into Elon Musk’s world – spacecrafts, planes that can fly across the earth in an hour, cars turning into submarines. That’s what we need to include now.
