Conte wants Italy

05:30: Antonio Conte insists he’s happy at Chelsea – despite wanting to one day return to Italy.

He insists he is happy at Stamford Bridge but hasn’t ruled out a move home when his Blues career is up.

The Chelsea boss said: “I did an interview two weeks ago and the translation was wrong.

“All I said was that one day in the future I would like to go back to Italy.

“But you know my position. I have two years contract with Chelsea and I’m happy to work for this club and with my players. I like to have this great feeling with our fans.

Conte warns Batshuayi

04:30: Antonio Conte has told Michy Batshuayi he is not guaranteed a starting spot in spite of Alvaro Morata’s injury.

Morata picked up an injury in Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester City before the international week but, instead of making a like-for-like substitution for Batshuayi, Conte opted to bring on Willian instead.

And the Chelsea boss admits the Belgium international may have to get used to that in the future.

“Last season we played two games with Hazard as a No.9, with Willian and Pedro.

“If I see a game where this is the solution I am ready to do that again but Michy is deserving to have opportunities to show he can play.”

Bakayoko on two Chelsea legends

03:30: Tiemoue Bakayoko has named two Chelsea legends who had an impact on him when he was younger.

He established himself as a powerful midfielder in Ligue 1 with Monaco where he worked with Blues legend Claude Makelele.

And Bakayoko admits he is motivated to reach the same level Makelele reached at Chelsea while also crediting Didier Drogba for inspiring an interest in Chelsea from an early age.

“Everyone has targets, and we all have to set ourselves these objectives and push the boundaries of what we can achieve,” Bakayoko told The Guardian.

“Claude Makelele is an example to aspire to. So to have the chance to follow in his footsteps here at Chelsea is a real motivation.”
