Pixel 2 – Why now is the best time to buy new Google smartphone

smartphones were unveiled at a major event last week with both now available to pre-order.

The Pixel 2 and XL both offer a number of improvements over their predecessors including Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor, water resistant design and improved camera.

In fact, Google is boasting its new snapper has just received the highest rating on a smartphone, with a DxO Mark score of 98.

The Pixel 2 comes with a 5-inch HD AMOLED display whilst owners of the Pixel 2 XL will get an updated design with reduced bezels and an edge-to-edge 6-inch QHD+ OLED screen.

There’s also a fast charging battery which brings seven hours of playtime from just 15 minutes in the plug.

Express.co.uk will bring you a full review of the Pixel 2 soon but Google is already attempting to entice customers away from rival brands with a special pre-order deal.

Anyone who buys the Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL early will get a thrown in for free.

The Mini Home was also announced at last week’s event with this donut-sized speaker able to play music, search the web and even control your lights and heating via simple voice commands.

The Home Mini comes in three colours and usually cost £49.

The free offer is available to anyone who buys the Pixel 2 phones on contract or SIM-Only via Google’s website.

HOW MUCH DO THESE PHONES COST?
