Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis) has virtually dominated discussion throughout the last few months – even since Episode 7’s The Force Awakens introduced him via a giant hologram in 2015.
In The Last Jedi, he will finally be seen in the flesh – and it seems he’ll be even more fearsome than ever.
Towards the end of the new trailer, he’s seen appearing to exercise his powers on Rey, and it looks horrifying.
His voice can be heard hissing: “Fulfil your destiny.”
Although it’s not clear if he’s talking to Rey or Kylo Ren – or someone else altogether – he can also be heard at the start of the promo, too.

“When I found you, I saw raw untamed power,” he says.
“And beyond that, something truly special.”
With Rey and Ren seen having an apparent heart-to-heart at the end of the clip, suggesting they may even join forces, will Snoke’s impact become truly apparent in the new movie?
Elsewhere in the clip, the much-publicised story twists are laid bare as Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) declares: “This is not going to go the way you think!”
Carrie Fisher’s General Leia is also seen under threat from her son (Kylo Ren), hinting that he will be tempted to kill her like he killed his father, Han Solo (Harrison Ford) in Episode 7.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is out on December 14 in the UK.
