However, the digital version of the game won’t go live until a scheduled time, which is different depending on what timezone you live in.

The official list of Shadow of War release times can be found below:

PST: 10:00

EST: 13:00

BST: 18:00

CEST: 19:00

ACT: 11:00, October 11

As listed above, Shadow of War fans in Australia and other countries in that timezone won’t actually get to start playing until Wednesday, October 11.

Another good way of keeping tabs on when the game goes live is visiting the official Steam page, which includes a game unlock countdown.

From our initial run throughs, the Express Online was left impressed by the new gameplay additions and Fortress takedowns.

It should be fair warning that Shadow of War isn’t pulling any punches when it comes to difficulty, while the returning Nemesis system has been refined to make things even trickier.

When it comes to quest missions, we found the expanded the group of characters to be refreshing.

One boss battle was notable for its level of difficulty, although a full runthrough will be needed to really discover just how these encounters works with a customised set of abilities.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, although it appears other consoles have been ruled out.

Monolith creative VP Michael de Plater has revealed that the studio has “no plans for the Switch at this time.”

According to Gamespot, this doesn’t rule out the possibility of the game coming to the hybrid console someday, however.

It’s also been confirmed that Shadow of War will be available as an Xbox Play Anywhere title across the Xbox One family of devices and Windows 10 starting October 10, 2017.

It’s also being billed as an Xbox One X enhanced title alongside the console’s launch on November 7, 2017.

“Go behind enemy lines to forge an army, conquer Fortresses and dominate Mordor from within,” the official game description teases.

“Experience how the award winning Nemesis System creates unique personal stories with every enemy and follower, and confront the full power of the Dark Lord Sauron and his Ringwraiths in this epic new story of Middle-earth.
