Of course it’s no surprise given the sheer level of secrecy around the LucasFilm movies that the actress – who plays newcomer Rose in The Last Jedi – is keeping tight-lipped on if she’ll be back.
But given the very nature of these films, it wouldn’t be a huge shock if a few supporting or even main players were to be killed off.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Tran insisted that she doesn’t know if she’ll be needed to shoot scenes for Episode 9, due 2019.
“Let me know if you hear anything,” she joked.
The actress also dropped some more teasers on who the character is.

“Rose is smart and she’s confident and she’s loyal,” Tran said.
“She’s going to be such a cool character because she’s someone who isn’t a model. She’s not a superhero.
“She’s just kind of an everyday person, and that’s something special about her.
“She’s someone who is able to face her fears in the face of adversity even though she kind of is a background player in the Resistance.”
A trailer for The Last Jedi is expected to finally be released on Monday, October 9 – or the early hours of Tuesday, October 10 for those in the UK.
Star Wars: Episode 8 – The Last Jedi is out on December 14 in the UK.
