Star Wars 8: Kylo Ren CHILLING secret name and the REAL reason he wears a helmet REVEALED

Star Wars fans have been flocking to the final major comic-con of 2017.

Although may had been hoping the Episode 8 trailer would be unveiled at the event, it seems they may have to wait one day after it finishes. However tehre have still been plenty of treats and revelations in the opening hours today.

Some of the most exciting news surrounds the tortured Kylo Ren. New facts revealed will make fans wonder how the Force he can ever possibly be redeemed and return to the Light.

WARNING: POTENTIAL SPOILERS

Recent tweets from Star Wars News Net showing some of the displays at the conference have revealed three new facts about Kylo Ren.

1. “Kylo Ren is the son of Han Solo and Leia Organa, protege of Luke Skywalker and eventual master of the Knights of Ren.”

So far, so predictable, although the term protege seems to confirm that he was special among all of Luke’s Jedi students, which, of course, makes his betrayal even more painful.

The next two details, however, are far darker…

2. “He is known as ‘The Jedi Killer’ among the rank and file of the First Order.”

Not only does Kylo Ren terrify the other soldiers due to his explosive temper (remember that hilarious moment when two troopers quickly turn and fell when they hear him raging?) but he has a truly epic nickname.

Since there are no known Jedi left alive and Luke is in hiding, this name must refer to Kylo wiping out Luke’s students.

3. “His helmet was crafted to mask his visage and voice, concealing his identity as he delves further into the power of the Dark Side of the Force.”

It is unclear why Kylo would need to hide his true identity from his fellow First Order comrades since he has repeatedly displayed his command of the Dark Side in combat and interrogation scenes.

Another display about Kylo’s lightsaber also reveals a tantalising possibility for The Last Jedi.

The opening says: “This lightsaber hilt belonged to master of The Knights of Ren, Kylo Ren.”

It is the use of the past tense that is intriguing. Since it precisely describes his classic crossguard hilt that we have already seen, does tis mean he will be getting a new lightsaber at some stage in The Last Jedi, or just a new hilt?
