Destiny 2 Nightfall Savathuns Song and EDZ cache reveals following Faction Rally winner

The latest Destiny 2 reset has brought a new Nightfall Strike and Flashpoint EDZ mission to complete.

Cayde-6 sells treasure maps for the Flashpoint locations, with this week’s caches located in the EDZ.

You will want all the maps, each one costing 4,800 glimmer to buy and will include spade icons which will be the cache locations you will want to check.

Those who have run these Flashpoint missions in the past will tell you that it’s best to wait before collecting all the caches, picking up three and then waiting for the last two can guarantee a better loot haul.

A video below from Planet Destiny gives a rundown of where these caches can be found.

A new Destiny Nightfall Strike is also available to complete, with Savathun’s Song providing new loot and other challenges.

This week’s challenges include:

  • Speed Of Dark: Complete the Nightfall with at least 5 minutes remaining.
  • Unbroken: Complete the Nightfall with fewer than 3 deaths.
  • The Best Defense: Shoot down 15 of its projectiles before defeating Savathûn’s Song.

Players can use Anomalies this week to extend their time, which are the floating objects you can find throughout the mission.

The other modifier for this week is Momentum, meaning your shields and health will not regenerate while you are standing still.

The other to remember is that your shields will actually recover faster if you’re sprinting, although there’s no guarantee you won’t run into some bad situations.

The Destiny 2 Nightfall loot this week is Powerful Gear rewards, which are some of the best gear to help you push beyond the 265 Power Level.

For anyone who doesn’t know, Nightfall Strikes are end game versions of regular Vanguard Strikes.

In a Nightfall Strike, players will have to contend with special modifiers which enhance the difficulty of this Strike activity.

The featured Nightfall Strike rotates every week, following the weekly reset, and the modifiers featured in the Nightfall activity also rotate every week.

It’s also recommended that players adjust their loadout to take advantage of the modifiers of a Nightfall Strike.

Bungie have also confirmed the Faction who won the Destiny 2 Rally this week.

Dead Orbit have been confirmed winners, with those who signed up able to grab the Dead Orbit Scout Rifle for 1,000 Glimmer.

Everyone else will be able to grab their own weapons, but at the much higher price of 50,000 Glimmer.

“You may notice evidence of who won the first Faction Rally in Destiny 2 as you make your way back to the Tower,” Bungie revealed.

“Congratulations, Dead Orbit. Thanks to all who played in support of their favorite faction. There is always next time.”
