ISIS hunting jihadi killer ‘silver sniper’ dies in battle against terror group

Militia hero A, who was known for his trademark grey beard, killed 341 ISIS fighters.

The 63-year-old singlehandedly wiped out four jihadi terrorists a day while fighting for the Iraq’s Popular Mobilisation Units (PMU), according to Iraqi media.

He was recognised by his motorbike, snipe rifle and went by nicknames including Silver Sniper, the Sheikh of Snipers and Hawk-eye.

The veteran of five wars learned to shoot while in Russia and first fought in the Arab-Israeli war.

Often appearing in PMU videos with his 50cal rifle the fighter became symbolic of the struggle against ISIS.

In one clip released earlier this year, he talked viewers through his tactics.

He says he has to be relaxed while shooting, and claimed his gun is so strong it knocks jihadis “back one metre”.

Tahseen said: “When I get my rotation I just want to get back here. Last time they gave me a month off and after 12 days I came back.”

The Iraqi Army announced he died while fighting to liberate Hawijah.

They said in a statement: “Sniper Abu Tahseen who killed more than 300 terrorists in Iraq was martyred yesterday in the battles to liberate Hawijah.”

ISIS are losing ground on several fronts as forces including the PMU fight to end their caliphate.

The terror group claimed responsibility for the horrifying shooting in Las Vegas, but the FBI has rubbished the claim which the agency said has no evidence.

Shooter Stephen Paddock shot and killed at least 59 people and wounded over 500 as he targeted concertgoers at a music festival from his 32nd floor hotel room.
