BREAKING: State of EMERGENCY declared by Nevada Governor after Las Vegas shooting

Governor Brian Sandoval signed a Declaration of Emergency which orders state agencies to supplement local efforts to save lives and protect the health and safety of the victim’s of the attack.

Mr Sandoval also declared a Public Health and Medical Disaster which temporarily suspends all necessary laws and rules to allow health care providers employed by a hospital and licensed, and in good standing to practice in another state to practice in Nevada in order to assist with public health operations.

Earlier the Governor of Nevada called on local residents to donate blood and help health service.

Sharing a link to United Blood Services, Mr Sandoval tweeted: “Please find a blood bank near you and donate. Your donation is critical during this time of tragedy in our community.”

The Republican described the shooting as a “heinous act of violence” as he offered his condolences to the victims of the attack and their families.

He tweeted: “A tragic and heinous act of violence has shaken the #Nevada family. Our prayers are with the victims and all affected by this act of cowardice.”
