Meghan Markle: Yoga-loving mother lives in lavish town where homes cost THIS much

Meghan Markle’s mother, Doria Radlan, met Prince Harry at the Invictus Games this weekend, where the three were pictured together.

The 36-year-old Suits actress introduced her yoga-loving mother to her boyfriend at the event.

Prince Harry amiably chatted with Doria, as the couple and the older woman watched the competition.

Doria, 60, is a trained therapist and a social worker. The actress has spoken out about her mother previously, writing about her on her now defunct blog The Tig.

What is known about Meghan Markle’s mother? Doria was once married to Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, however the pair are no longer together – having split 30 years ago when Meghan was six.

According to Doria’s Facebook page she works at Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services in California.

Doria reportedly lives in one of Hollywood’s wealthier areas, which the BBC claimed is known as the “Black Beverly Hills” and is one of the wealthiest African-American neighbourhoods in the US.

View Park-Windsor Hills is close to Inglewood, and near Los Angeles International Airport.

Houses in the affluent area have a median price of $771,000 (£579,869.10), and numerous houses for sale in the area are on the market for more than a million dollars.

One such house boats five bedrooms, five bathrooms, panoramic views and a garden, and is on the market for $1.225m (£921,200).

Meghan, whose real name is Rachel, enjoyed a private education at the Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles, a private college preparatory school for girls.

It was attended by various actresses and Victoria’s Secret model Tyra Banks, and there are various reviews of the school on Yelp.

Meghan has spoken out about her bi-racial heritage before – her mother is African-American and her father is white.

She said in Elle magazine: “Being biracial paints a blurred line that is equal parts staggering and illuminating.”

“While my mixed heritage may have created a grey area surrounding my self-identification, keeping me with a foot on both sides of the fence, I have come to embrace that. To say who I am, to share where I’m from, to voice my pride in being a strong, confident mixed-race woman.”
