Since 2002 there have been five Jason Bourne movies. Apart from 2012’s The Bourne Legacy starring Jeremy Renner, Damon has starred in all of them.
The successful series has even be said to be an influence on Daniel Craig’s grittier James Bond.
While the franchise is based on Robert Ludlum’s novels about Jason Bourne, it now turns out the spy was almost killed off at the conclusion of the very first movie, The Bourne Identity.
The movie’s director Doug Liman, revealed the shocking news in a recent interview, while promoting his new film, American Made.
The producer revealed: “I don’t think so. They’re just in their own worlds.
“There’s a big world out there…I don’t ever see them coming together.”
