North Korea crisis: US military action will lead Trump to ‘final ruin’ warns Kim Jong-un

The rogue state said US “imperialist aggressor warmongers” needed to “come to their senses” or risk annihilation.

This latest threat from state media comes as tensions on the Korean Peninsula run high after a series of nuclear and ballistic missile tests by Kim Jong-un’s oppressive regime.

North Korean state media is reported as saying: “Military aggression is as foolish an act as trying to break the faith and will of North Korea’s army and people through intensified military threats.

“This proves that the US imperialist aggressor warmongers opted for a military adventure by attempting at the provocation of a nuclear war against the DPRK, despite strong protest and denunciation of the public at home and abroad.

“The US is far across the Pacific but it is by no means a safe place and any military option against the DPRK will bring the final ruin to the US.”

Pyongyang accused the US of “zealously persisting in sanctions and military pressure under the pretext of the nuclear issue” but claimed American efforts had not hindered the hermit state.

Kim continues to plough cash into his nuclear weapons programme despite worldwide condemnation, international sanctions and poverty on the home front.

The threat of “final ruin” comes as White House officials revealed US President Donald Trump will travel to Asia next month.

The two week trip will include stops in South Korea, Japan and China and is expected to be dominated by the North Korea crisis.

Announcing the visit today, the White House said: “The President’s engagements will strengthen the international resolve to confront the North Korean threat and ensure the complete, verifiable, and irreversible denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.”

Mr Trump has been embroiled in a war of words with dictator Kim, with both leaders trading insults alongside threats of nuclear war.

Addressing world leaders at the United Nations earlier this month, the US President mocked dictator Kim as “rocket man” before threatening to “totally destroy” North Korea if it dared attack the US or its allies.

In response, North Korea’s supreme leader branded Trump a “mentally deranged frightened dog” and promised the US President would “pay dearly” for his comments.
