Five signings

Manchester United have signed five teenagers from Huddersfield’s academy, according to the Daily Mail.

Huddersfield announced earlier this month their decision to downgrade their academy and scrap teams from Under-16 level and below.

While it was praised as a common-sense move at the time, it also left dozens of youngsters searching for a new club.

And it is reported United have moved quickly to snap up five of the former Terriers.

Pogba injury blow

Paul Pogba is reportedly set to be sidelined until after the next international break in November.

Pogba has been absent for United since he was forced off in the first half of their 3-0 Champions League win over Basel earlier this month.

And the Telegraph say there is now worries he could be missing for another five-and-a-half weeks.

It means he will be unavailable for around eight matches, including big games against Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea.

Lukaku claim

Martin Keown believes it will be difficult for anybody to stop Romelu Lukaku winning the Golden Boot this season.

Lukaku has made an instant impact at United since his big-money move from Everton in the summer

His two goals against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League earlier this week took his tally for the season to 10 goals.

And Arsenal legend Keown believes Lukaku will play a big part in determining whether United remain win the league.

“I said at the start of the season that Lukaku is the player who determines where the title goes,” Keown told the Daily Mail.

“I think it will be difficult for anyone to stop him winning the Golden Boot but let’s wait and see.”
