Indiana Jones 5: Harrison Ford SPEAKS OUT on long-awaited Steven Spielberg sequel

The 75-year-old star shows no sign of stopping, returning to characters he played on screen decades ago.

In 2015 he portrayed Han Solo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens for the first time since 1983 and now he’s about to play Rick Deckard in Blade Runner 2049 some 35 years after the original.

While promoting the sci-fi sequel on The Graham Norton Show, Ford spoke out on his next big return in Indiana Jones 5, a role he last played 10 years ago.

The actor revealed: “We have a release date and we are working on a script. It will be great.

He continued: “I’m looking forward to working with Steven [Spielberg] again and to revisiting the character later in life.

“It’s interesting to see it in a different light.  It will be fun and a good thing to do.”

Back in March, Disney revealed the film would be released in Summer 2019, but its now been pushed back to July 10, 2020 – three days before Ford turns 79-years-old.

Another highlight from his Graham Norton appearance, was his constant dismay at hearing the Indiana Jones music.

Ford added: “I can’t escape the god damn music. As I was slightly sedated for a routine colonoscopy it was playing in the elevator and the other day a fire engine was heading down the street in New York City with the music blaring out!”

The Graham Norton Show returns to BBC One at 10:35pm on Friday, while Indiana Jones 5 will be released in UK cinemas on July 10, 2020.
