Hannah Simpson attended Sunday night’s premiere not just to celebrate new Star Trek show, but because the event was a fundraiser for hurricane relief.
Simpson recently joined the American Red Cross after having her flight home from Texas rescheduled due to the storm. The couple of days she originally planned to stay in Texas turned into more than three weeks of volunteering. In addition to her Trek shirt, she’s wearing her Red Cross vest and a variety of pins that include the Israeli Pride flag, the Texas flag and Trolls given to her by kids in a shelter.
