North Korea says Trump is ‘DAYDREAMING’ if he thinks Kim will quit NUCLEAR campaign

has repeatedly provoked international outrage this year with a series of missile launches and nuclear tests.

The rogue nation has faced frequent furious outbursts from America, culminating this week when President Trump warned he would not hesitate to “totally destroy” the rogue state.

He said if the USA or its allies were provoked, he would launch an all-out attack on Kim’s kingdom.

But North Korea continues to ignore these threats and is instead further escalating the situation by mocking the USA.

A fiery news article in a state-run newspaper said: “It is a daydream for the US to stifle the DPRK… its people have the strong spirit of self-reliance and self-development.”

The piece, published this week, praised the strength and “self-reliance” of the North Korean people, claiming this iron-willed determination would see the state emerge victorious from its nuclear showdown.

‘s propaganda rag continued: “The signal achievements made in North Korea are fruition of the Korean people’s spirit of self-reliance and self-development displayed under the wise guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un.

“Clear-cut is the stance of the Korean people toward the US. Unless the US hostile policy and nuclear threat are fundamentally removed, they will invariably follow the road of increasing the nuclear force, giving full play to the might of self-reliance and self-development.”

And the piece ominously warned of a “showdown” ahead between Kim and his Western rivals.

The article concluded: “North Korea can brave any hardship and difficulties, achieve greatest successes under the worst conditions, exalt the dignity and honour of one’s country and nation and achieve the prosperity.

“The world will see the brave spirit of North Korea emerging victorious in the showdown with the US in the future.”

Earlier this week Mr Trump did little to cool the escalating tensions between the two states when he launched a ferocious verbal assault on Kim and North Korea.

Mr Trump said on Monday at the UN General Assembly: “If the righteous men do not confront the wicked few then evil will triumph.

“No-one has shown more contempt for other nations and the wellbeing of their people than the depraved regime of North Korea.

“They respect neither their own citizens nor the sovereign rights of countries.”

He mockingly referred to Kim as a “rocket man on a suicide mission for himself and his regime” and said he would “totally destroy” his country.
