Marion Cotillard strips NAKED for racy scene in new movie Ismael’s Ghosts

The acclaimed performer appeared alongside Mathieu Amalric in the film, which is about a director whose life is turned upside-down when a former lover reappears.

The film, which debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in May, saw Cotillard going completely full-frontal.

Critics responded reasonably well to the film upon its release, and it currently holds a 60% rating with aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.

It’s another strong entry on a CV that already looks very impressive.

Cotillard said of her career a few years ago: “I just wanna do movies. I don’t have a plan.

“I’m so lucky to have the opportunity to work with some directors and some actors I wouldn’t have dared to think I would work with one day. And now I know that everything is possible.

“So, it’s very exciting. But I don’t have in my mind whether I do an American movie or a French movie.

“It’s just [that] the stories come and… if I recognised myself in the story, I wanna be part of it.”

Cotillard stars alongside Charlotte Gainsbourg, Louis Garrel and Alba Rohrwacher in Ismael’s Ghosts, which translates to Les Fantômes d’Ismaël in French

It’s directed by Arnaud Desplechin, from a screenplay written by Desplechin, Léa Mysius and Julie Peyr.

Ismael’s Ghosts has not had a UK release.
