MS Dhoni picked up his 300th ODI appearance for India during the second one-day international match against Australia at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
He has become the sixth Indian cricketer to play 300 ODIs, joining Mohammad Azharuddin, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Yuvraj Singh and Sachin Tendulkar.
The 36-year old wicketkeeper and batsman, who has been in the international set-up for 13 years, is the only captain in the world to win all ICC trophies.
