Destiny 2 Trials of the Nine – Start time, requirements, mode, map

Replacing the Trials of Osiris end-game event, Trials of the Nine is the go-to Destiny 2 game mode for fans of PvP Crucible action.

The first Trials of the Nine multiplayer event had a September 15 release date.

Titled Countdown on Eternity, the aim was to plant a bomb in the enemy base and defend it until it explodes.

This week the map and mode for Trials of the Nine will get refreshed on Friday September 22.

Here’s what you’ll be able to play:

DESTINY 2 WEEK 3 – TRIALS OF THE NINE MODE AND MAP

Mode: Survival

Map: Altar of Flame

Trials of the Nine will be played under Survival rules between September 22 and September 29.

DESTINY 2 – TRIALS OF THE NINE REQUIREMENTS

If you want to take part in Trials of the Nine, there are a number of requirements you have to fulfil.

These are as follows:

• Players must complete the Destiny 2 campaign

• Players must complete the the Call to Arms Milestone at least once

• Players must have 260 Power

DESTINY 2 – TRIALS OF THE NINE START TIME

Last week Trials of the Nine went live at 10am PT / 6pm BST, so it’s likely the refresh will happen at the same time again this week.

Until then Destiny 2 fans will still be able to jump in and play Countdown on Eternity.

The main things to remember about Countdown is that attackers have two minutes to detonate a charge or eliminate the opposing team.

Defending teams have two minutes to stop the other team from setting and detonating charges. It’s also worth pointing out that as the defending team, you can still lose even if you eliminate the other team, but fail to defuse the charge.

Bungie recommends having one person provide long-range support, and to co-ordinate as a team to nab the power ammo that spawns after 30 seconds.

WHAT ELSE IS HAPPENING IN DESTINY 2?

Friday will also see Xur return with a selection of exotics.

All this kicks off before the Faction rally begins in Destiny 2 next week on Tuesday.

So far Bungie have outlined the release schedule for Month One of Destiny 2.

After that the release schedule remains a mystery.
