PUBG connection closed – PUBG users report servers down after latest update

UPDATE ONE: There has been no word from the PUBG official Twitter account on whether the server connection issues affecting players today have been resolved.

But on Down Detector the number of PUBG players reporting issues with the online PC game has fallen sharply.

The number of PUBG players reporting issues with the popular ‘battle royale’ game has fallen from a peak of 238 to just a handful.

PUBG players reporting server connection issues, seeing connection closed error messages and having trouble logging into the hit PC game.

ORIGINAL: PUBG players are seeing connection closed error messages and reported the Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds servers down.

The server issues comes after the hit PC game, which is heading to Xbox One, received its latest update.

Independent website Down Detector has received reports from players who said PUBG is down today.

Some 85 per cent of those said they were experiencing server connection issues while 14 per cent were experiencing login issues.

Down Detector measures social mentions around certain topics to track outages across the globe.

The Connection Closed message hitting PUBG fans has led to players heading to Twitter to find out what’s going on.

One fan wrote: “@PUBG_help Are the servers down? The main homescreen doesn’t loads. It shows connection closed.”

And another added: “@PLAYERUNKNOWN  is pubg down i cant play it gave me some kind of battle eye error”.

The official Playerunknown Battleground’s Twitter page said they are investigating the connection issues experienced by player today.

They tweeted: “We are investigating the connection issue on the live server.  We greatly appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience.”

The outage comes after PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was taken offline and servers down to make way for a new PUBG update.

The game was made unplayable earlier today for around one hour while developers Bluehole Inc. worked on the popular Steam Early Access title.

The update weighs in at around 1GB and looks to make a series of small changes to the game.

The new desert map has now been deployed, while players will also have to wait for access to the new night-mode.

This is not the first time recently that PUBG players have been hit by servers going down and seeing the connection closed error message.

Last Friday PUBG fans were left struggling to connect as the game seemingly went offline on PC.
